In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Lanier Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 59-14 triumph over the McComb Tigers.
The Bulldogs (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Kemper County (DeKalb, MS). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Kemper County smashed Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS), 51-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers confront the Raymond Rangers (Raymond, MS) in a 4A Region 6 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. McComb will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Rangers go into the contest with a 4-14 record after their 50-10 league loss to Lanier (Jackson, MS).
