In Thursday's league contest, the host Oxford Chargers basketball team scored a big 52-28 triumph over the Lewisburg Patriots.
The Chargers (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Choctaw Central smashed Hernando (Hernando, MS), 62-52, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots confront the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Lewisburg will attempt to better on its 3-16 season record.
