Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 62-31 in a league match.

With the victory, Mars upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Fightin' Planets travel to Neshannock (New Castle, PA) to face the Lancers in a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. The Lancers enter the match with a record of 11-2. Neshannock won 78-15 in their recent league match against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA)

The Hurricanes now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hopewell for a non-league match on Friday, January 10.
