In Thursday's league contest, the host Springfield Cougars basketball team scored a good 37-20 triumph over the Ridley Raiders.
The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Conestoga (Berwyn, PA). The Pioneers go into the Central contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Conestoga topped Penncrest (Media, PA), 52-21, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Raiders confront the Strath Haven Panthers (Wallingford, PA) in a Central contest, on Saturday, January 11. Ridley will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 54-53 league loss to Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA).
