Mississippi High School Soccer - Lafayette knocks off Pontotoc

Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the visiting Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS), saw Lafayette's soccer squad triumph over Pontotoc by a count of 6-0.
The Commodores (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 7-2 record.
Next up, the Warriors battle the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 battle, on Saturday, January 11. Pontotoc will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 11-4 record after their 1-0 league win over Corinth (Corinth, MS).
