The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Red Wing Wingers (Red Wing, MN) and the visiting Faribault Falcons (Faribault, MN), witnessed Red Wing's ice hockey team defeat Faribault by a score of 6-0.

The Wingers (1-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Tigers come into the Big 9 challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Albert Lea was routed by Luverne (Luverne, MN), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) in a Big 9 challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Faribault will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Winhawks come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 6-0 non-league win over St. Paul Academy-Summit (St. Paul, MN).
