In Thursday's non-league test, the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots (Kinston, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Liberty Christian Academy Heat (Richlands, NC), by a final score of 44-36.

Next, the Patriots clash with the Wayne Country Day Chargers (Goldsboro, NC) in a test, on Friday, January 10. Arendell Parrott Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 60-41 non-league win over Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC).

The Heat (3-7) will now prepare for their test against John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Saints come into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, John Paul II Catholic overcame Epiphany (New Bern, NC), 62-12, in a league test.
