The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) and the host Del Campo Cougars (Fair Oaks, CA), observed Nevada Union's basketball team overcome Del Campo by a margin of 48-33.

The Miners (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen come into the challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Placer defeated Roseville (Roseville, CA), 70-64, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Vista del Lago Eagles (Folsom, CA) in a challenge, on Monday, January 13. Del Campo will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record.
