The West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host North Surry Greyhounds to 44 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Blackhawks now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they host East Surry for a game on Friday, January 17.

With the loss, North Surry falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to play the Granite Bears in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Granite Bears go into the game with a record of 3-5. Mount Airy lost 58-45 in their recent non-league game against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC)
