The Miramonte Matadors soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Alhambra Bulldogs to 1 in the Matadors league victory on Thursday.

The Matadors now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Pinole Valley for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 11. Miramonte will play a Spartans squad coming off a 1-1 league Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Alhambra moves to 1-6 on the year. The Bulldogs host Berean Christian (Walnut Creek, CA) to play the Eagles in a Diablo - Valley bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Berean Christian lost 5-0 in their recent league bout against Benicia (Benicia, CA)
