New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 1-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, New Hope advances its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to clash with the Warriors in a 5A Region 1 test on Saturday, January 11. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 11-3. Pontotoc lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)

The Warriors now have a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Pontotoc for a 5A Region 1 test on Tuesday, January 14.
