The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits (Long Beach, CA) and the visiting Compton Tarbabes (Compton, CA), observed Long Beach Poly's basketball team overwhelm Compton by a margin of 78-50.

The Jackrabbits (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mayfair (Lakewood, CA). The Monsoons come into the non-league challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Mayfair trounced Gahr (Cerritos, CA), 63-50, in a league match.

The Tarbabes now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Downey for a non-league match on Saturday, January 10. Compton will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 60-36 league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 12-7.
