The St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) football nudged the visiting Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), 35-28 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Hilltoppers face the Burlington/South Burlington (Burlington, VT) in a Division I bout, on Friday, October 15. St. Johnsbury Academy will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record.
The Hornets (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Hartford (White River Junction, VT). The Hurricanes enter the Division I bout with a 4-1 record. In their last bout, Hartford held off Brattleboro (Brattleboro, VT), 48-20, in a non-league bout.
