The Hiwassee Dam Eagles volleyball team (Murphy, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC)

The Highlanders (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 11-1 record. In their last challenge, Murphy defeated Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 5. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 7-24 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Commerce (Commerce, GA).
