Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Beavers face the PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV) in a Coalfield AA challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. Bluefield will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Cross Lanes Christian (Charleston, WV).
The Miners now have a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Poca for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. Mingo Central will face a The Dots team coming off a 4-4 non-league South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The The Dots record now stands at 8-2.
