Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Rockets confront the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a 4A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. Goddard will attempt to better on its 14-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 2-0 league win over Artesia (Artesia, NM).
The Rams now have a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Artesia for a 4A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, October 4. Portales will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-6.
