Citizens Christian Academy Patriots (Douglas, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Twiggs Academy Trojans (Jeffersonville, GA), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they host Atkinson County for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 3. Citizens Christian Academy will face a Rebels squad coming off a 15-12 league win over Turner County (Ashburn, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Twiggs Academy falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Crisp Academy (Cordele, GA) to face the Wildcats in a GIAA 3A challenge on Monday, October 3. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Crisp Academy won 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Twiggs Academy (Jeffersonville, GA)
