South Dakota High School Volleyball - Avon edged by Corsica/Stickney

The Corsica/Stickney Jaguars held off the visiting Avon Pirates volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's league test.

The Jaguars now have a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Andes Central/Dakota Christian for a B Region 6 test on Monday, October 3. Corsica/Stickney will confront a team coming off a 3-1 league win over Colome (Colome, SD). The record now stands at 3-11.

The Pirates (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Burke (Burke, SD). The Cougars enter the B Region 5 test with a 18-3 record. In their last test, Burke held off Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD), 2-0, in a non-league test.
