The Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM) volleyball tipped the visiting Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 3-2 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Penasco upgrades its record to 4-5 on the year. The Panthers host Mora (Mora, NM) to play the Rangers/Rangerettes in a 2A District 5 outing on Thursday, October 6. The Rangers/Rangerettes go into the outing with a record of 6-5.

The Rams now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Clayton for a non-league outing on Monday, October 3. Cimarron will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-7.
