The Denver City Mustangs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Merkel Badgers to 0 in the Mustangs league victory on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 12-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brownfield for a 3A Region I District 3 game on Tuesday, October 4. Denver City will meet a Cubs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Compass Academy (Odessa, TX). The Cubs record now stands at 8-17.

The Badgers (1-13) will now prepare for their outing against Coahoma (Coahoma, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region I District 3 outing with a 14-12 record. In their last outing, Coahoma notched a victory over Lamesa (Lamesa, TX), 3-0, in a league outing.
