The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Monument Valley Cougars (Monument Valley, UT) and the host Green River Pirates (Green River, UT), saw Monument Valley's volleyball squad nip Green River by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Monument Valley upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT) to play the Raiders in a 1A Region 23 bout on Thursday, October 6. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Whitehorse won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Pinnacle (Price, UT)

The Pirates now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Bryce Valley for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 6.
