Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) and the visiting Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), saw Cranston West's soccer squad hold off Chariho by a count of 2-1.

The Falcons (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Rebels enter the Division 1 battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, South Kingstown was edged by La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Chargers battle the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a Division 1 battle, on Saturday, October 5. Chariho will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Sentinels enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 2-0 league loss to Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI).
