In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Apex Friendship Patriots volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Apex Cougars.

The Patriots (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Panther Creek (Cary, NC). The Catamounts enter the non-league challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Panther Creek was tipped by Green Hope (Cary, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Apex will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Cary (Cary, NC).
