The Grants Pirates volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Aztec Tigers to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now have a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Valencia for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 8. Grants will play a Jaguars team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Aztec drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to play the Pintos in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 3. The Pintos come into the outing with a record of 3-5. Moriarty lost 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Estancia (Estancia, NM)
