In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Cape Fear Colts volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Douglas Byrd Eagles.
The Colts (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Jack Britt beat Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Douglas Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC).
