With the win, Western Harnett improves its record to 9-8 on the season. The Eagles travel to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 2. The Cavaliers go into the test with a record of 2-13. Southern Lee lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Hoke County (Raeford, NC)

The Wolverines now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to E.E. Smith for a non-league test on Thursday, October 3. Westover will encounter a Golden Bulls squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls record now stands at 0-10.
