With the triumph, Marion advances its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Salem (Salem, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Saturday, October 5. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 12-2. Salem won 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Richland County (Olney, IL)

The Rams now have a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carbondale for a South Seven test on Thursday, October 3. Mt. Vernon will clash with a Terriers team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau, MO). The Terriers record now stands at 5-8.
