In Tuesday's non-league test, the Early Panthers (Morrisville, MO) softball squad got by the visiting Norwood Pirates (Norwood, MO), by a tally of 7-6.

Next, the Panthers meet the Branson Pirates (Branson, MO) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 3. Early will attempt to advance on its 10-16 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 9-10 record after their 16-6 non-league win over Bolivar (Bolivar, MO).

The Pirates (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Laquey (Laquey, MO). The Hornets go into the Class 2 District 4 test with a 1-15 record. In their last test, Laquey was nudged by St. James (St. James, MO), 26-1, in a non-league test.
