The Kearney Bulldogs overwhelmed the visiting Excelsior Springs Tigers softball squad by a count of 5-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Winnetonka Griffins (Kansas City, MO) in a Class 4 District 5 challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Kearney will attempt to upgrade on its 21-4 season record. The Griffins go into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 21-6 league win over Lincoln College Prep (Kansas City, MO).

The Tigers (14-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Grandview (Grandview, MO). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record.
