The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars (O'Fallon, MO) and the host Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO), observed Fort Zumwalt West's softball team get by Howell Central by a tally of 12-6.

The Jaguars (20-4) will now prepare for their bout against Howell North (St. Charles, MO). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 7-12 record. In their last bout, Howell North was routed by Winfield (Winfield, MO), 13-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Howell Vikings (St. Charles, MO) in a Class 4 District 7 bout, on Thursday, October 3. Howell Central will attempt to advance on its 12-13 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Northwest (Cedar Hill, MO).
