Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) and the visiting Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA), observed Chincoteague's volleyball team top Arcadia by a count of 3-0.

The Ponies (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Nandua (Onley, VA). The Warriors enter the Eastern Shore contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Nandua was knocked off by Northampton (Eastville, VA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Firebirds battle the Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) in a Eastern Shore contest, on Thursday, October 3. Arcadia will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the contest with a 5-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Nandua (Onley, VA).
