Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Columbia improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Cougars host West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ) to face the Knights in a non-league test on Monday, October 7. The Knights go into the test with a record of 8-3.

The Chiefs now own a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Orange for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 2. Caldwell will face a Mountaineers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Montclair (Montclair, NJ). The Mountaineers record now stands at 5-7.
