Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX) and the host Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), observed Caprock's volleyball team top Lubbock by a count of 3-1.

The Longhorns (17-14) will now prepare for their contest against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels enter the 5A Region I District 3 contest with a 26-8 record. In their last contest, Tascosa notched a victory over Plainview (Plainview, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Westerners battle the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 5. Lubbock will attempt to move on its 7-20 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 6-7 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM).
