Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) and the host Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY), observed Garrard County's volleyball team top Estill County by a tally of 3-1.

The Golden Lions (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Mercer County beat Casey County (Liberty, KY), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Engineers meet the Lee County Bobcats (Beattyville, KY) in a District 56 contest, on Wednesday, October 2. Estill County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Bobcats enter the contest with a 7-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Powell County (Stanton, KY).
