Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) and the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), observed Geneseo's volleyball team top Sterling by a count of 2-0.

The Maple Leafs (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Blue Devils enter the Western Big 6 contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Quincy notched a victory over Rock Island (Rock Island, IL), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Golden Warriors meet the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 contest, on Thursday, October 3. Sterling will attempt to move on its 13-5 season record. The Maroons enter the contest with a 9-10 record after their 2-0 league win over East Moline United (East Moline, IL).
