In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Point Arena Pirates volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Potter Valley Bearcats.

The Pirates (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Laytonville (Laytonville, CA). The Warriors come into the North Central III challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Laytonville lost by Anderson Valley (Boonville, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bearcats play the Grace Christian Academy Lions (Santa Rosa, CA) in a North Central III challenge, on Monday, October 7. Potter Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Tomales (Tomales, CA).
