Next up, the Cardinals face the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) in a District 48 game, on Thursday, October 3. Wayne County will attempt to advance on its 12-4 season record. The Warriors go into the game with a 17-9 record after their 3-2 league loss to Somerset Christian (Somerset, KY).

The Lakers (16-7) will now prepare for their game against Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Indians go into the non-league game with a 17-7 record. In their last game, Adair County gained a win over Barren County (Glasgow, KY), 2-0, in a non-league game.
