California High School Flag Football - Oakmont can't hold off Wheatland

The Wheatland Pirates got by the visiting Oakmont Vikings flag football team by a score of 18-12 in Wednesday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates play the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League challenge, on Wednesday, October 8. Wheatland will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record.

With the defeat, Oakmont drops to 5-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Mira Loma (Sacramento, CA) to meet the Matadors in a Pioneer Valley League test on Monday, October 6. The Matadors come into the test with a record of 2-12. Mira Loma lost 32-8 in their recent non-league test against Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA)
