In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Winthrop Vikings soccer squad scored a tight 5-2 win over the Lynn Vo-Tech Tigers.

The Vikings (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA). The Chieftains come into the non-league test with a 5-2 record.

The Tigers now sport a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate for a Commonwealth - Lower test on Saturday, October 4.
