In Wednesday's league test, the host Marlboro Central Dukes soccer team scored a close 4-1 triumph over the Rondout Valley Ganders.

With the triumph, Marlboro Central advances its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Dukes host Mount Academy (Esopus, NY) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, October 6. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 6-0. Mount Academy won 8-2 in their recent non-league test against Wallkill (Wallkill, NY)

Next up, the Ganders play the Roosevelt Presidents (Hyde Park, NY) in a Mid Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) outing, on Friday, October 3. Rondout Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Presidents go into the outing with a 4-4 record after their 2-0 league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY).
