The Watauga Pioneers soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Alexander Central Cougars to 1 in the Pioneers league victory on Wednesday.
The Pioneers now hold a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to McDowell for a non-league game on Monday, October 6. Watauga will face a Titans team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Titans record now stands at 2-3.
The Cougars (0-12) will now prepare for their game against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots enter the game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Freedom held off South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 6-1, in a non-league game.
