Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Eastern Guilford Wildcats (Gibsonville, NC) and the visiting Dudley Panthers (Greensboro, NC), observed Eastern Guilford's volleyball team top Dudley by a count of 2-0.
The Wildcats (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Blue Comets go into the non-league battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, Asheboro achieved victory over Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest Guilford for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2. Dudley will encounter a Cowboys squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Cowboys record now stands at 8-5.
