In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host West Florence Knights volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the St. James Sharks.

The Knights (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Sumter (Sumter, SC). The Gamecocks come into the challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Sumter was nudged by Spring Valley (Columbia, SC), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Sharks meet the Conway Tigers (Conway, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 2. St. James will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC).
