In Wednesday's league challenge, the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) soccer squad overwhelmed the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), by a margin of 6-1.

The Bulldogs now hold a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Academy for a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A contest on Monday, October 6. Albemarle will face a Cardinals team coming off a 9-0 league win over North Stanly (New London, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-2.

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Cavaliers enter the Yadkin Valley 2A/3A contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, North Rowan was overwhelmed by Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC), 9-0, in a league contest.
