The West Stokes Wildcats soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host East Surry Cardinals to 1 in the Wildcats league victory on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they host North Surry for a Northwest 3A/4A bout on Monday, October 6. West Stokes will play a Greyhounds squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 6-6.

The Cardinals (5-9) will now prepare for their game against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles come into the Northwest 3A/4A game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Surry Central by Forbush (East Bend, NC), 4-0, in a league game.
