In Wednesday's league outing, the host Franklinton Red Rams soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 win over the Wake Forest Cougars.

The Red Rams (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against East Wake (Wendell, NC). The Warriors enter the Northern Six 6A/7A outing with a 2-11 record. In their last outing, East Wake was edged by Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC), 6-2, in a league outing.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Heritage Huskies (Wake Forest, NC) in a Northern Six 6A/7A outing, on Monday, October 6. Wake Forest will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Huskies come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 7-2 league win over Knightdale (Knightdale, NC).
