Nebraska High School Softball - Columbus bounces Grand Island

In Wednesday's league game, the host Columbus Discoverers softball squad scored a good 12-2 triumph over the Grand Island Islanders.

With the triumph, Columbus upgrades its record to 6-18 on the year. The Discoverers host Kearney (Kearney, NE) to confront the Bearcats in a A District battle on Thursday, October 2. The Bearcats come into the battle with a record of 20-10. Kearney lost 11-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Hastings (Hastings, NE)

The Islanders (7-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE). The Links come into the non-league battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Lincoln High ran past Omaha North (Omaha, NE), 12-10, in a league battle.
