In Wednesday's non-league test, the Kell Longhorns (Marietta, GA) softball squad the visiting St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions (Atlanta, GA), by a tally of 5-2.

The Longhorns now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walton for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 2. Kell will encounter a Raiders team coming off a 15-2 league win over Marietta (Marietta, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 15-8.

With the loss, St. Pius X Catholic moves to 16-12 on the season. The Golden lions travel to Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA) to encounter the Panthers in a 4A Region 5 outing on Thursday, October 2. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 14-5. Southwest DeKalb won 7-0 in their recent league test against Clarkston (Clarkston, GA)
