Georgia High School Softball - Morgan County bounces Monroe Area

In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Morgan County Bulldogs softball team scored a tight 6-2 win over the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes.

The Bulldogs (14-7) will now prepare for their game against Callaway (Hogansville, GA). The Cavaliers enter the 2A Region 2 game with a 8-15 record. In their last game, Callaway was routed by Jackson (Jackson, GA), 4-0, in a league game.

The Purple Hurricanes now hold a 16-8 record. They play next when they host Cherokee Bluff for a 3A Region 8 game on Tuesday, October 7. Monroe Area will play a Bears squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Jefferson (Jefferson, GA). The Bears record now stands at 12-8.
