The Cortez Colts volleyball squad (Phoenix, AZ), was defeated 3-1 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ)
With the win, Tempe improves its record to 3-8 on the season. The Buffaloes host Dysart (El Mirage, AZ) to encounter the Demons in a 4A - Black Canyon battle on Thursday, October 16. The Demons go into the battle with a record of 8-5.
The Colts now own a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they host Yuma for a 4A - Black Canyon contest on Friday, October 3. Cortez will meet a Criminals team coming off a 3-1 league win over Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Criminals record now stands at 4-7.
